Then I got the old gray face bug and groaned. I remembered that the resolution to this was to go through every individual mod and hunt down every single npc with the bug in the God, I haven’t modded for several years, but I’ll take a wack at explaining this. The black face bug occurs when the meshes and textures for the npc's face are either missing or don't match the game's data records.
